Description
All tours begin at your place of lodging.
You will be picked up and driven in a luxurious, air-conditioned
suburban. A photo CD of you, your group and the sites you
will see is also included in the tour price. Drinks and
snacks are provided, we do ask you bring a sack lunch. |

You will enter the North end of
Montezuma Canyon
Utah from
Monticello or Blanding, Utah. During this tour you
will be viewing cliff dwellings, petroglyphs and pictographs of
Anasazi culture from AD 400 to AD 1300. There are over 25
sites to visit most can be viewed from within 100 yards from the
road. There will be a stop at our canyon property where
you can see first hand an undug 25' great kiva and numerous
pieces of artifacts and pottery chards. Tour is
approximately 8 hours long depending on where you are lodged. |

Entering the South end of
Montezuma Canyon, Utah from
Blanding, Utah, or Cortez, Colorado your tour
will be of cliff dwellings, petroglyphs and pictographs of
Anasazi culture from AD 400 to AD 1300. You will be able
to hike up into the ruin sites and feel the energy. Many
petroglyph panels are 200 to 300 feet long and have white, gold,
green, red and black paints. Tour is approximately 8 hours
long depending on where you are lodged. |

The Indian Creek tour is started from Monticello, Utah
approximately 1/2 mile drive northwest near to the entrance to Canyon
Lands National Park. You can do a mild hike of about 30 to
40 minutes to see a canyon wall of thousands of petroglyphs.
This tour offers beautiful rock formations along with
large towers where Anasazi and Freemont cultures built their
homes. Many cliff dwellings are viewable from the auto.
Tour is approximately 5 hours depending on where you are lodged. |

Long Fingers Ruin and Boomerang cave tour is located
approximately 30 miles southwest of Blanding, Utah. This
is a most unusual tour, requires approximately 4 hours of light
hiking up a shaded canyon. Some of the petroglyphs in this
tour are AD400. The ruins are located under large rock
cliffs and still have the original corn cobs, cordage, matte's
and manos. From Blanding, Utah this tour takes
approximately 6 to 7 hours. |

The La Sal loop goes from Southeast of Moab, Utah through
the La Sal mountains. On this tour the Overlooks of Castle Valley remind you of the Grand Canyon. There may be
wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls that you can photograph.
A stop will be made at Red Cliff Lodge's Castle Creek Winery for
wine tasting. Lodging can also be furnished there directly
from Red Cliff Lodge. There is a museum on the property
full of memorabilia from the many movies that were filmed
in this area staring John Wayne, Richard Boone, Lee Marvin, and
many, many other great stars of the 60 and 70 era. You
will drive along the Colorado River to
Moab, Utah where
you can visit a few of the rock/prehistoric shops on the main
street before returning back to your place of lodging.

Kane Creek/Potash tour begins in Moab, Utah where you will
view the giant rock cliffs on both the east and west side of the
Colorado river. You will see petroglyphs from the Freemont
culture from AD 500 to AD750. One of the unusual birthing
scenes is on this tour. There are dinosaur tracts on the
rocks on the canyon walls and many petroglyph panels.
Occasionally you will see people rock climbing the 600 to 700
foot walls. You can also choose a mile and 1/2 hike to
Corona Arch or Bow Tie Arch. Tour takes approximately 6
hours depending on lodging. |

The Blue Mountain Color change tour takes place the last
week of September through the first two weeks in October.
Entering the Blue Mountains of Utah from Monticello you will
climb over breathtaking mountain canyons to see the aspen and
maple trees in their full attire. Colors of red, green,
gold and orange pave the way for the photographs.
Occasionally you will see wild turkey, deer and elk. This
tour ends in Blanding Utah. Tour length is approximately 7
hours. No hiking is required |

San Juan Scenic Skyway tour begins in Cortez, Colorado.
You will be driven along the Dolores River Valley to Telluride.
Breathtaking views of the river and mountain foliage along with
wild life pave the way. From there you will head up to
Ouray a quiet town nestled amidst the canyon walls. Then
up the river valley, over Red Mountain pass to Silverton and
down to Durango ending back in Cortez. Time will be allowed in
each town to visit a few of the shops. This is at least 8
to 10 hours depending on the amount of time you would like to
look and shop. An early departure is recommended.
Sack lunch is optional on this tour as you may choose to eat at
a local restaurant. |

Tour begins near Cortez, Colorado where you will be viewing
the Cortez Cultural Center then taken north to the
Anasazi
Heritage Center. You will find many interesting exhibits
of the Anasazi culture including arrowheads, weavings, baskets,
pottery and exhibits explaining the heritage and cultures.
You then will be driven to Monticello, Utah to the
Visitor Center to view the local heritage and exhibits. Next stop
is the
Edge of the Cedars Museum in Blanding, Utah. This
is one of the most detailed exhibits of Native American culture
we have found. If time permits you may also go to the
Dinosaur Museum in Blanding. All Museums are of choice and
may be seen or omitted on this tour. Tour takes
approximately 9 hours depending on the number of stops and time
spent at each. |
